Posted 4 Febuary, 2017, 15:26

Tonight the first Semi-Final of Melodifestivalen takes place in Göteborg. This years Swedish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest has some familiar faces. Loreen and Charlotte Perelli (back then Charlotte Nilsson) both won the Eurovision Song Contest and decided to come back for the 2017 edition of Melodifestivalen. Other known Eurovision acts are Krista Siegfrids, who represented Finland in 2013 and Roger Pontare represented Sweden in 1994 and 2000. Melodifestivalen is one of the biggest TV shows in Sweden. We want to find out, why the Swedish people love this contest so much.
