20 Years ago the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest was held in Ireland for the fourth time that decade and for the third time in the Point Theatre in Dublin. It was the time of boy- and girl bands and Boyzone performed as an interval act. Participating acts included Katrina and the Waves from the United Kingdom and Alla Pugachova from Russia.
