Eurovision This Month: December 2020

Welcome to Eurovision This Month. This is your update of December 2020.

With a new edition of the Eurovision Song Contest comes a new logo design. The 2021 logo shows similar shapes as the 2020 logo, but is distinctively unique. The Host Broadcaster has also released more details about the 2021 postcards.

France has won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Valentina performed her song J’imagine and won with a big margin of 48 points. It took only a few days for France Télévisions to accept the honour of being the Host Broadcaster for 2021.

Eurovision Again ended with a bang in December. A special show was created including the 26 most popular songs that did not qualify for the Grand Final. The audience at home got the opportunity to vote for their favourite and Greta Salóme, who represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 with the song ‘Hear Them Calling’ won the fan poll.

We have our first song for Eurovision 2021! Anxhela Peristeri won the Albanian national selection with her song Karma.

Two more countries announced their artists this month. Both Hurricane from Serbia and Lesley Roy from Ireland were selected to represent their countries again in 2021.
