Eurovision This Month - August 2021

Hello Europe! Welcome to Eurovision This Month: August 2021.

First, the bad news: Summer is almost over.
On the other hand there’s also good news: We’re about to enter National Finals season, where a new batch of Eurovision hopefuls battle it out for their chance to compete in Italy next year.

But before we face the future, let’s take a look at some recent releases from the Eurovision ‘Class of 2021’:

Blind Channel - Balboa

Montaigne - My Life Is Better With You

Lesley Roy - I'll Be Fine

Also keeping busy, everyone’s favourite Finnish rockers Lordi. Alongside Santa Claus, Mr Lordi took part in a COVID-19 vaccination awareness drive, receiving his second jab in full stage outfit.

Later in the month, his band would appear in a brand new high definition cut of the 2006 Athens Eurovision Song Contest - which is now available to watch on our YouTube channel. (Link: )

Over on our social channels we’ve been celebrating pole swinging... flower skating... and hamster wheelin’, as the inaugural ‘Eurovision Games’ took place alongside the Olympics in Tokyo. (Link: )

France Télévisions have revealed the theme art for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The three inspirations behind the look are: Imagination… Christmas… and Paris.

It may come as no surprise that the new logo tips its beret to the most famous Parisian of all… the Eiffel Tower.
