Welcome to Eurovision This Month. This is your update of April 2020.

46 broadcasters will show Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light in May! More details about the show were released this month. The show will honour the 41 participating entries in a non-competitive format and will provide all kinds of surprises for the viewers at home along the way. The 2020 artists will, in a unifying performance, sing Love Shine A Light by Katrina And The Waves. As a special feature, the EBU will bring Eurovision fans together for an unforgettable virtual sing-a-long on screen. Fans from all over the world will sing Johnny Logan’s What’s Another Year together. Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light will take place on the 16 May.


In the lead up to 16 May you will be able to find a wide range of content on the Eurovision Song Contest online channels. Expect some exciting announcements soon!


Sad news from The Netherlands this month. Andres, who represented The Netherlands in 1972 together with Sandra Reemer, died at the age of 84. Sandra & Andres’ song, ‘Als Het Om De Liefde Gaat’ came fourth in 1972.


Last years winning song ‘Arcade’ from Duncan Laurence remains popular in the playlists of Eurovision fans. This month the song passed the mark of 100 million streams on Spotify! Congratulations Duncan!
