Wrap-up: Serbia praised shoes

29 June 2009 at 02:34 CEST

Who are Marko Kon and Milaan?

Cipela or Shoe in English, was brought to stage by an interesting group of people from Serbia this year. From performers to ballet dancers, this group has them all!

Marko Kon met Aleksandar Kobac and they formed one of the most successful tandems in the history of Serbian popular music. He has written more than 800 songs for numerous popular musicians and sang backup vocals on over 1,000 recordings.

"I like this song. It is funny and of good quality. Good luck Serbia!" a fan from the Host Country of next  year's Eurovision Song Contest - Norway - said. Another fan added: "I adore this song! They have such good voices, melody, performance, everything about it is very easy and fun! It is also a great dance song! Go Serbia! That is real humour with respect for the Competition."

Marko & Milaan's entry was appreciated in Europe, gathering a total of 60 points and placing tenth in the televoting. This meant they just missed out from the Final as only nine countries passed to the Final with televoting.
