Winner's Tour: A great day in Stockholm!

29 May 2008 at 03:13 CEST

Earlier in Helsinki, fresh Eurovision Song Contest winner Dima Bilan and his fellow violin player Edvin Marton performed at the Stockmann shopping mall, and signed autographs, in front of hundreds of exciting fans. Some of them were already waiting for the Russian superstar since the doors opened at 9:00, and they were rewarded with a personally signed autograph card of their idol.

A private plane brought everyone from Helsinki Vantaa Airport to Bromma Airport in Stockholm, which is being used for smaller planes. At the hotel, in one of Stockholm's sub-urbs, Dima and his team had a couple of hours to relax, before he went on to Kista galleria, one of Stockholm's largest shopping malls. Hundreds of excited fans were cheering for their pop idol, and Dima gave another stunning performance of his winning song Believe. The case with the Stradivarius inside didn't stay closed, as Edvin Marton played the strings of this precious instrument. In a live radio interview, earlier during the day, Marton revealed that insurance covered the instrument up to $4,000,000.

After the performance in Kista, the entire entourage had an intimate dinner at one of Stockholm's finest fish restaurants. At the moment, Dima is performing at Restaurant Victoria, where a popular monthly Eurovision Song Contest party is beind held.

Tomorrow, the morning is reserved for the Swedish media. Around 13:00, Dima will arrive in Oslo, Norway, to meet this year's Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest participant Maria and to appear in several TV shows.  For the latest Winner's Tour news, stay with Eurovision.tv!
