They are married, spiritually connected and amazingly creative. The lives of Marjetka and Raay are completely coloured by indie-pop music. Headphones are Maraaya's trademark as they spend so much stop in the studio, so they want to evoke that atmosphere while being on the stage. Eurovision zombies from Slovenia, as they also call themselves, are representing Slovenia with a song Here For You. »We are finally here – Here For You, and everything is set for our first rehearsal,« Maraaya told Eurovision.tv while waiting their turn to go on the stage.
We sleep a bit less and at this moment as everything is dedicated to the Mission Eurovision. Nevertheless, there's no reason to be nervous, but we are really excited, as we are finally going to perform our song on the Eurovision stage, Raay, who composed that this year's entry for Slovenia said.

»About the stage performance I can tell you that is going to be similar to the one we have had in Ljubljana at EMA 2015. Which mean it will be intimate. Of course, we will have to deal with some adjustments. Still, the audience in Slovenia liked it and the reactions we received from the fans from other European countries after we won the national selection are great«, he added.

In other words, there's a piano, a violinist with playing virtual instrument, Marjetka performing in a long white dress and Raay wearing more casual outfit.

Marjetka's and Raay's stage outfits are designed by Vesna Mirtelj. And for those who are wondering about the brand of Marjetka's headphones she will have during the performance, the answer is: Sennheiser.

To be honest, some years ago I was afraid to be on the stage. I always felt more comfortable in a studio. I've asked Raay if it would be ok to perform with the headphones on and that's how this idea was born, Marjetka said during the Meet and Greet event at the Wiener Stadthalle, after their first rehearsal.

Marjetka graduated at the Ljubljana Academy of Music, and now teaches budding vocalists at her musical workshops. Raay is one of the most prolific music producers in Slovenia and has been increasingly active abroad in recent years.

Raay has been the most played Slovene songwriter on annual airplay charts. He has designed Maraaya's music style, which is usually described as "indie pop".

The song is about friendship, I believe people can relate to the song. It holds a message about a true friendship when you can count on somebody when you are down when everything is falling apart, that you know, that somebody is there for you. That gives people hope. It is nice to know that somebody can count on you and that you can count on somebody,« Marjetka said.
