19 February 2012 at 02:22 CET

Since their first participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, in 2007, Georgia has always qualified for the Final. This year, the public broadcaster GPB is trying to continue this success story, and today, nine hopefuls will try to prove their talent in the Georgian national final.

Even though only 13 entries have been received within the submission period, the nine finalist entries offer a broad range of musical styles, including rock, pop, euro-dance, and ballads.

This is the line-up (in order of appearance):

  • Mirror Illusion - Whisper
  • November - Letter To A Friend
  • Industrial City - Broken
  • Leo Jee - It's My Life
  • Edward Tatiani - Hey You
  • Boris Bedia - It's Life
  • Vanilla Cage - Breaking The Cage
  • REMA - Feel Me
  • Anri Jokhadze - I'm A Joker

Anri Jokhadze, November and Boris Bedia all participated in the 2009 Georgian national final. All other participants will celebrate their debut on a national final stage today. Sabina Babayeva, the Azerbaijani representative in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, will perform as a special guest in the show.

We shall find out who will get the ticket to Baku today at 15:30 CET, when a 50/50 combination of televoting and the verdict of an expert jury will decide the outcome of this show. The national final will be streamed live on our ESCTV Player.
