Watch live tonight: who will Bulgaria send to Düsseldorf?

Wednesday night, the Bulgarian national final is decided. The show will take place at 19.30 CET (20:30 local time) in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture – the greatest multifunctional complex in Sofia. It will be broadcast live by the national broadcaster on BNT 1 and BNT World.

All 19 competing songs will be performed in the final. They are selected by an Academy specifically formed for the purpose, with the famous Bulgarian composer Stefan Dimitrov as the chairman. The Academy consists of representatives from professions such as composers, poets, producers, performers, music educators, media, advertising agencies and professional organisations.

The winner, who will represent Bulgaria in Düsseldorf, will be selected by a mix of the votes from the Academy and the audience.

Early Academy voting

The audience will vote during the performance of the participating songs. The members of the Academy, however, already voted 24 hours earlier, during the Dress Rehearsal.

The bands Dirty Purches and Tri O Five plus Hotel FM – the Romanian representatives in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest – will perform as guest artists during the show from Sofia.

Bulgaria will participate in the second half of the second semi-final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, on the 12th of May.
