Montenegro will serve a slice of pop perfection in Turin, having chosen accomplished singer-songwriter Vladana to represent the Adriatic nation at Eurovision this May.

In a reveal video posted earlier, Vladana hinted at the nature of the yet-to-be-announced song:

'I know that life is in both black and white keys, and everyday is a brand new song – that’s why it’s interesting.

We only realise what it means to fight for a life when it begins to hurt, and when the cure is the only mission.

This is my song, my cure for Europe, and for the world.'

Vladana is an all round artist and entertainer with an education in music theory and opera, and a degree in journalism from Montenegro’s State Faculty of Political Science.

She plays piano and is learning to master the guitar.

The pop star from Podgorica launched her debut single at the prestigious Budva Meditteranean Festival (now Pjesma Mediterana), a competition which proved a very successful springboard for Eurovision winner Marija Šerifović.

Her biggest hit to date, Sinner City, became the first video from a Montenegrin solo artist to appear on rotation on MTV Adria, and her album (also Sinner City) is available to enjoy on Spotify and Apple Music right now.

Vladana had previously attempted to represent Montenegro twice by entering Montevizija (the Montenegrin selection for the Eurovision contest) in 2005 and 2006 â€“ now it’s finally her time to shine!

The song will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to Eurovision.tv and the official Vladana Instagram account.
