Victory for Loucas Yiorkas featuring Stereo Mike in Greece

The Greek national selection was hosted by Lena Aroni from broadcaster ERT's studio in the Katehaki area of Athens.

Lena introduced the jury members at the start of the show, all of whom have vast experience within the Greek music industry, their votes would form 50% of the overall decision, along with the other half being decided by the Greek televoting public. The juries were the only persons present in the TV studio as the fans were watching from another location.

All of this years participants made their names in either the Greek Idol or X Factor shows, and are all very experienced and competent with performing live.

The line up for tonight's show was as follows:

Valando Trifonos - The Time Is Now
Triimitonio - Hamogela
Antigoni Psyhrami - It’s All Greek To Me!
Loucas Yiorkas feat. Stereo Mike - Watch My Dance
Nikki Ponte - I Don’t Wanna Dance

Interval acts present Eurovision songs

The interval act this evening featured three of the acts who will be participating in the Eurovision Song Contest in May, namely Christos Mylordos from Cyprus, Glen Vella from Malta and Poli Genova from Bulgaria who all performed their entries.

After the interval act the results were announced and Lena confirmed that victory went to Loucas Yiorkas featuring Stereo Mike.

Greece will perform in the First Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest on Tuesday May 10th in Germany.
