Vanja Radovanović has won Montenegro's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, 'Montevizija 2018' with the song 'Inje' and will represent the country in Lisbon!

Slavko Kalezić was chosen to represent Montenegro at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Space but for 2018 Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG opted for a national final. The show was held at the Hilton hotel in Podgorica.

From a total of 30 songs that had been submitted, a jury composed out of composer and music producer Dejan Bozovic, singer Vladimir Maras, composer Slaven Knezovic, singer Ismeta Dervoz and Kornelija Kovac, vocalist of the 1974 Yugoslavian act Korni Grupa, narrowed the submitted entries down to just five finalists:

  • Nina Petković - Dišem Vanja
  • Vanja Radovanović - Inje 1st
  • Ivana Popović Martinović - Poljupci
  • Katarina Bogićević - Neželjena 2nd
  • Lorena Jankovic - Dušu mi daj 3rd

Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest

Montenegro entered the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2007, but previously the country joined the Eurovision Song Contest as part of Yugoslavia and as part of Serbia and Montenegro. Last year Montenegro was represented by Slavko Kalezić who performed his song Space in the First Semi-Final in 2017 but didn't receive enough points to qualify for the final in Kyiv.

This year Montenegro will perform in the second half of the Second Semi-Final on 10th May in Lisbon.
