Portugal has decided, and the country will send Vânia Fernandes to Belgrade where she will sing her song Senhora do mar. Festival da Canção 2008 included 10 entries and televoters decided who was going to be this year's Portuguese participant in the Eurovision Song Contest. After the interval act, last year's Portuguese participant Sabrina came on stage for an interview, and a video from her experiences in Helsinki last year was shown. It was also Sabrina who had to open the three envelopes containing the names of the entrants who had gotten most televotes. After the announcement of the three songs, Sabrina had received a last envelope containing Vânia Fernandes' name.
