Greece inches closer to announcing their representative for Liverpool 2023, as the seven song shortlist has been narrowed down to a final 3 by broadcaster ERT.
  • Melissa Mantzoukis - Liar

  • Victor Vernicos - What They Say

  • Maria Maragou & Antonia Kaouri - Shout Out

The final shortlist is the outcome of the Audience Committee vote, followed by a respective evaluation by the ERT Expert Committee of the most popular songs among the Audience Committee.

The four songs not progressing to the final shortlist are:

  • Konstantina Iosifidou - We Are Young

  • Monika - I’m Proud

  • Leon Of Athens - Somewhere To Go

  • Klavdia - Holy Water

The selection of the Greek entry will result from the combination of the Audience Committee vote with the vote of a 7-member ERT internal expert committee, with a weighting factor of 50.6% of the vote of the Audience Committee, and a 49.4% of the vote of the ERT expert committee to keep in line with the recent changes to Eurovision Song Contest voting.

It is the first time that ERT has introduced an Audience Committee in selecting their Eurovision entry; the 70 members were selected through a draw of almost 3,000 applicants by applying a methodology that secured the age representation of the Contest’s audience.

Who will follow in the footsteps of Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord? More details will be revealed by ERT shortly…
