During the sixth day of rehearsals, the United Kingdom arrived on stage at the Altice Arena. SuRie performed 'Storm' for the first time inside of a diamond-shaped lighting tunnel.

The name SuRie is a combination of the artist's first names, Susanna and Marie. She is a classically trained musician and has performed for HRH Prince Charles at Royal Albert Hall. SuRie has worked for the Eurovision Song Contest before; as a backing singer for the Belgian entry Loïc Nottet in 2015, and as a Musical Director for Belgian entry Blanche last year.

Storm was written and composed by Nicole Blair, Gil Lewis and Sean Hargreaves.

For her first time on the Lisbon stage, SuRie wore a striking wide-legged, white jumpsuit. She spends the length of the song alone at centre stage, in a colour-changing, diamond shaped tunnel of light. As she sings the song, accompanied by fierce arm movements, the stage lights up in blue, purple and white.

When asked about her installation, SuRie said: "We have a really unique structure, high-end technology. It’s an impressive build, a collaboration between the UK and Portuguese teams. It’s really special to actually be in, and move through, and work the stage with it. I think we are referring to it as the tunnel."

SuRie will represent the United Kingdom with Storm in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest on the 12th of May.
