After a one-year break, Ukraine is back in the Eurovision Song Contest. This season, the public broadcaster UA:Pershyi (NTU) joined forces with the Ukrainian private TV channel STB in search for a worthy candidate for Stockholm. To involve more artists from different Ukrainian regions the auditions will take place in different cities of Ukraine. The semi-finals and the national final are scheduled for February.

The first round of the Ukrainian national selection consists of the auditions that will last from the 5th till the 20th of December and will be held in different cities of Ukraine. So all talented musicians (solo artists and bands) and composers are welcome to submit their application forms online.

The auditions will be held on the following dates and in the following cities:

  • December 5th and 6th - Zaporizhia, Kharkiv
  • December 12th and 13th – Odesa, Lviv
  • December 19th and 20th – Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv

The finalists (20-40 musicians and bands) who reached the second round will be announced till the 31st of January.

The second round is scheduled for February. It will consist of three or four shows with 8-12 participants (form the first round) each. All the shows will take place in Kyiv and broadcast on the national television and STB channel. Two or three best candidates will be chosen from each show by a joint decision of an expert jury and TV viewers, and thus will take part in the national final to be held in Kyiv in February.
