05 December 2010 at 19:47 CET

In summer, the Ukrainian national selection for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest already started with initial castings, where 35 artists were chosen to perform in the five quarter-finals that took place until last Sunday. Today it was finally time for the first semi-final. Eight entries were presented in tonight's show, five out of which qualified for the final due to the decision of an expert jury. Here's the full line-up (qualifiers in bold):

  1. Bakhroma - Yeyo Imya
  2. Zhemchug - Hero
  3. Vitaliy Halay - My Expression
  4. Nek$i - Sever - Yug
  5. Zlata Ognevich - Kukushka
  6. Para-Normalnykh - Glyadi
  7. Tetyana Vorzheva - Vsyo resheno
  8. Vladislav Levytsky - Love

The three non-qualifiers can still gain a spot in the final by the decision of the TV public, who can cast their votes by SMS. The second semi-final will take place next Sunday, again at 17:00 CET, with five more acts qualifying for the final of the Ukrainian national selection.
