The special guest in the national Ukrainian final was Oleksandr Ponomaryov, a former participant in the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest.

The jury consisted of the well known Ukrainian personalities such as Jegor Benkendorf and Jan Tabachnikov, as well as the former participants in the Europe's biggest show Ruslana, Ani Lorak and Alyosha. The jury seriously discussed all the entries of tonight's event and chose Mika Newton as the best candidate for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The young singer inspired not only the jury with her romantic ballad, she also could convince her Ukrainian nation with her originality and a very good performance on stage. One of the juries even called Mika the cutest girl of this night.
