UK entry revealed on March 3

Weeks of speculation will come to an end, when in a short 12 minute programme on Monday the 3rd of March the artist and the song that will be performed in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest for the United Kingdom will finally be known.

First broadcast worldwide

Viewers across the world will also be able to see the exclusive first worldwide broadcast of the song, here on Eurovision.tv at the same time as the programme is being shown to viewers via their Red Button service in the United Kingdom.

Factfile:

  • The United Kingdom has won Europe's Favourite TV show an impressive five times, in 1967, 1969, 1976, 1981 and in 1997.
  • They have finished in second place an astonishing 15 times, the last time was in 1998.
  • The BBC has staged the contest no less than eight times, more than any other broadcaster.
  • Amongst the famous names who have represented the country are Matt Monro, Cliff Richard, Olivia Newton-John and the Shadows.
