Over the course of this week, we will be previewing the acts that are going to be appearing at Eurovision In Concert, by either through interviews, or videos of the entries. Plus we will be finding out each day more about some of the background to this keenly anticipated event, which is already sold out.
With (at the time of writing) 25 countries participating in Eurovision In Concert, matching the number set last year, could the situation arise that every participating country in a forthcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest be present at Eurovision In Concert?
"I don't think it's possible to host all Eurovision participants in Eurovision In Concert" states René Romkes. "We have a limited capacity, for both fans, press and artists. Please note that all the artists want to do a soundcheck as well; we simply wouldn't have the time to do a soundcheck with 37 countries! The concert would take too long as well then. Besides that, we're not aiming to create a second Eurovision Song Contest; we're a promotional event. Of course, all countries are invited to take part, but we have a maximum, and at moment that is around 25 countries."
Let's look at four more of the acts who will be appearing at the event.
The Shin is a German based band that became famous for their creative ways of interweaving traditional Georgian music with influences from pop and world music. For their performance in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest they are joined by vocalist Mariko Ebralidze. The song is titled Three Minutes To Earth and is composed by Zaza Miminoshvili (who is a member of the group), and Eugen Eliu.
