Poland in Eurovision

Poland made an immediate impact when they debuted at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest when Edyta Górniak took second place with To Nei Ja. It remains Poland’s best ever Eurovision result and their only top-six finish. Poland didn’t reach the top 10 again until Ich Troje represented the country in 2003 with Keine Grenzen - Żadnych granic (No Borders) and went on to finish in 7th place. They returned to Eurovision in 2006 but only finished 11th in their Semi-Final, just missing out on a place in the Grand Final. In 2016, Michał Szpak achieved Poland's third best result to date. He finished last in the jury vote for the Grand Final with Colour Of Your Life but achieved an incredible third place in the televote to finish 8th overall. Last year, Gromee feat. Lukas Meijer finished 14thin their Semi-Final with Light Me Up, the first time Poland failed to qualify for the Grand Final for five years.
