There was some speculation that Donny Montell's song Love Is Blind was a possible plagiarism but a confirmation from the author of the song it is linked to, no less than double Eurovision winner, the Norwegian Rolf Lovland, arrived: Montell‘s song does not infringe the copyright in any way. According to the betting companies in Lithuania, Donny "Donatas" is the favourite to win.

The top three favourite songs in the televoting will proceed to a superfinal. These three songs will be performed once again and the jury will pick the winner.

Lithuania will take part in the second half of the second Semi-Final of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku on the 24th of May.
