Today is the day many Eurovision Song Contest fans in Russia and beyond have been waiting for: For the first time they will be able to listen to Sergey Lazarev's song for Stockholm. The singer, who is already a superstar on home ground, has been internally selected to represent the country in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

The decision was already announced in December. After that, the works on his song and stage act commenced.

Tonight the official video of the Russian Eurovision Song Contest entry will be shown. So far, only a very short teaser has been released, which you can see below.

Philip Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos have written the song that Sergey Lazarev will sing in Stockholm. The stage act will be created by Fokas Evangelinos. The team has been working together on several occasions in the Eurovision Song Contest, including for the 2014 Russian entry, Shine by the Tolmachevy Sisters.

They are supported by vocal trainer Alex Panayi, who has represented Cyprus in the 1995 and 2000 Eurovision Song Contests as lead vocalist, and by Ilias Kokotos, the "creative brain" of the team.

So far, not many secrets about the song have been revealed, so let's be surprised. One thing we know for sure is that Miss Universe Russia 2015, Vladislava Evtushenko, will play a lead role in the video clip. So don't miss tonight's premiere!
