Tonight: All eyes on Herning as Denmark chooses for Malmö

26 January 2013 at 01:07 CET

Later on this evening we will know which of the ten acts participating in the 2013 edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will have won the right to represent Denmark at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.

The 2013 show has been one of the most anticipated in the history of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with a lot riding on the result, where Denmark will compete just over the bridge in neighbouring Sweden on the 14th of May.

Eurovision.tv are at the Boxen Arena in Herning to cover the final so make sure you keep an eye on Twitter (@Eurovision) for live updates throughout the show.

Take a look at some pictures from last night's dress rehearsal for a preview of what's going to happen tonight!

The buzz in Herning

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has literally engrossed the entire town of Herning, and there is a lot of gossip and "buzz" floating about about who the winner will be. Looking at comments and reactions on Eurovision.tv and our official social media channels, it seems that Emmelie de Forest is the big favourite abroad with Only Teardrops. However, on broadcaster DR's own website, a poll has Simone with Stay Awake as the runaway favourite with the Danish public.

However, as we saw in 2012 , a lot can change on the night. Soluna Samay won what many describe as a shock victory in Aalborg with Should've Known Better, so as the old saying goes, "anything can happen".
