Tonight and tomorrow, the two semi-finals of the Albanian national selection will take place. Then, on Sunday, we are looking forward to presenting you the first live webcast of the season here on Eurovision.tv for the final show - and you will also get to know the first song of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest!
Festivali i Këngës has been held every year since 1962. Tonight its 54th edition kicks off with the first semi-final. Another semi-final will follow tomorrow, and on Sunday, at the end of the final show, we will know who will represent Albania in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

Some artists have represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest before: Luiz Ejlli participated in 2006 with Zjarr e ftohtë, while Adrian Lulgjuraj represented his country in 2013 together with Bledar Sejko. Among others, Klajdi Musabelliu and Erga Halilaj have been on the Eurovision Song Contest stage before as backing vocalists.
The presenters of the shows are Pandi Laço, who is also the screenwriter of the festival, and Blerta Tafani, a journalist and main news anchor at TVSH.
