Eurovision Home Concerts became a new tradition on Fridays: Each episode featured several artists who have been part of the Eurovision family over the years, including artists from 2020. Every act performed their own song and a cover version of another hit by a fellow Eurovision participant.We've seen numerous Eurovision participants taking the Home Concerts stage over the past weeks and it has been quite a ride, but more on how everything came together later. Today, 15 May, we jump into episode 7, our Season Finale. As always: watch the show here at 17:00 CEST:For the last time this season, we are proud to bring you into the homes and feature the outstanding talents of:Dami Im (Australia 2016)Dami Im was born in South Korea and moved to Australia at the age 9. A classically trained pianist, she won X Factor and the hearts of the Australian public in 2013, building a successful career thanks to her remarkable voice. When Dami represented in 2016, it was the second time Australia participated. She set the bar quite high, finishing second in the Grand Final with the song Sound Of Silence.For Eurovision Home Concerts, she will sing her Eurovision entry as well as Rise Like A Phoenix by Conchita Wurst. Conchita won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014.In February, Dami released a new song called Marching On. She posted a behind-the-scenes video on her Instagram a few weeks ago:Dana (Ireland 1970)Dana represented Ireland in 1970 with the song All Kinds Of Everything. The then 18-year-old schoolgirl travelled to Amsterdam, performing her song seated on a stool. Ireland had its first victory in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest with Dana's entry, and it went on to become a major international hit.For many, Dana is seen as a national treasure, having won Ireland's first Eurovision and kicking off the first of 7 wins for the country. To let her 50th anniversary to go by without hearing a rendition of that classic song which shot her to fame would've been a shame, so, while she was in lockdown in Australia, it was put together.For the Season Finale of Eurovision Home Concerts, Dana will sing a special anniversary rendition of the winning Eurovision song, All Kinds Of Everything.Dana at the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest in the NetherlandsKippaDiodato (Italy 2020)Diodato made his musical debut in 2013 with the song E Forse Sono Pazzo on Le Narcisse Records/Goodfellas. The following year, he took part in the 64th Sanremo Festival in the Newcomer category with the song Babilonia, where he came in second place.This year, Diodato won the 70th Sanremo Festival with the song Fai Rumore, a song that has now topped the Italian charts. On Monday 24 February, the Mayor and the Council of Taranto conferred the Civic Merit award to Diodato for paying homage to his city with his Eurovision entry.Besides Fai Rumore, accompanied by his own piano which he has programmed to play along with him by itself, Diodato will sing Piove (Ciao Ciao Bambina), by Domenico Modugno who finished 6th with this song in 1959.Like many people around the world over the last few months, Diodato took to his kitchen and started cooking. Risotto anyone?Eimear Quinn (Ireland 1996)Ireland scored its seventh victory in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song The Voice, performed by Eimear Quinn. This was the fourth victory for Ireland in just 5 years. Quinn began touring solo, performing in Australia, America and all over Europe in venues including The Royal Albert Hall and The Sydney State Theatre.Eimear will sing The Voice as well as Répondez-moi by Eurovision 2020 participant, Gjon’s Tears. Gjon's Tears was set to represent Switzerland in Rotterdam.In March 2020, Eimear released a new version of her Eurovision entry The Voice, together with RTE Concert Orchestra:Go_A (Ukraine 2020)Go_A won Vidbir 2020, the Ukrainian national selection show, with a total of 12 points. They received the maximum points, 6, from both the jury and the Ukrainian televote. In their song, the band creates a modern reinterpretation of Ukrainian folklore, packaged in electronic sound. The name of the group consists of 'Go', as 'movement', and 'A', as in the ancient Greek letter 'alpha', which refers to going back to one's cultural roots.For Eurovision Home Concerts, GA will sing their Eurovision entry, Solovey, next to Verka Serduchka's Dancing Lasha Tumbai. Verka finished second in the Grand Final in 2007. Go_A's video was filmed in a special location, described by the band: "[We] filmed on the roof of the main office building of our broadcaster - UA:PBC in Kyiv. This building is also known as Pencil TV Center because of its characteristic [pencil] shape. It opens the view to the entire city.”In April, the band took part in ESPreParty at Home, for which they recorded a special video:Imri Ziv (Israël 2017)Imri, born and raised near Tel Aviv, won the 2017 Rising Star singing competition TV show and the ticket to represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The singer is already a veteran of the Eurovision stage: he is a 2-time backing vocalist for both Golden Boy by Nadav Guedj, in 2015, and for Hovi Star's Made Of Stars in 2016. In 2017, Imri finished 23rd in the Grand Final with his upbeat song I Feel Alive.Imri will sing I Feel Alive as well as Il Volo's Grande Amore. They finished 3rd in the Grand Final in 2015.To keep busy, Imri found himself a new hobby while being quarantined with his dog:MELOVIN (Ukraine 2018)Another Ukrainian entry on the list! In 2018, MELOVIN won Vidbir 2018 with the song Under The Ladder. In his artistic journey, MELOVIN recognizes that there are no victories without failures. His creative path has been just like that; pursuing his dream, step-by-step, with no fear of failure. And this is what Under The Ladder is about. The young artist encourages people never to give up because of temporary failures and to fight for dreams against all odds. In Lisbon, MELOVIN finished 17th in the Grand Final.During this Season Finale, MELOVIN will sing Under The Ladder as well as Rise Like A Phoenix by Conchita Wurst.On 11 April, MELOVIN celebrated his 23rd birthday:Secret Garden (Norway 1995)For a record third year in a row, Ireland hosted the 40th Eurovision Song Contest which was held again in the Point Theatre in Dublin. Norway scored its second victory with Nocturne performed by the group Secret Garden. The winning song only consisted of 24 words and was inspired by Celtic music. In fact, the group's violinist was in fact Irish meaning that it could be considered to be a victory for Ireland as well.At Eurovision Home Concerts, they will perform their winning Eurovision song Nocturne.Secret Garden, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1995NRKYohanna (Iceland 2009)Last but not least: here is Yohanna! Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 16 October 1990, she was a gifted child that started singing even before she could talk. Yohanna and her parents moved to Reykjavík in Iceland when she was just 2 years old, where she continued to show great interest in music.When songwriter and producer Óskar Páll Sveinsson set out to ask Yohanna to interpret the song Is It True? for the 2009 Icelandic National Eurovision Preselection Song Contest, he was looking for Yohanna’s particular R’n’B sound and style.
