
Ticket to Tel Aviv: Meet Anna Odobescu from Moldova
25 April 2019 at 18:00 CESTOn 2 March, Anna left 9 finalists behind by receiving the most points during 'O Melodie Pentru Europa', Moldova's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Who is Anna Odobescu?
Anna Odobescu was born on 3 November 1991 in Dubasari on the left bank of the Dniester River in Moldova. Her vocal and artistic talent emerged in early childhood. She lost her father when she was a young girl, but found consolation in music for her terrible loss.
Anna graduated from the faculty of pop jazz vocal at the Transnistrian College of Music, named after Anton Rubinstein (Tiraspol), and the department of pop and jazz vocal at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Chisinau. She performed with the Jazz Orchestra named after Victor Zelenskiy before Anna became a vocal coach at the Chisinau School of Arts named after V. Polyakov. Anna also has a vocal coach herself, she is being coached by Cristina Pintilie.

Anna Odobescu will sing Stay. She will be joined on stage in Tel Aviv by 3 backing vocalists: Mihaela Andrei, Andrei Ștefăneț and Andreea Portarescu.

Moldova last year
In 2018, Moldova qualified for the Grand Final and finished 10th. DoReDoS received 209 points for their song My Lucky Day.
