Ticket to Tel Aviv: Meet Darude feat. Sebastian Rejman from Finland

With the song ‘Look Away', Darude feat. Sebastian Rejman will represent Finland this year. The duo is set to perform 3rd in the first Semi-Final on Tuesday 14 May in Tel Aviv, Israel. This is 'Ticket to Tel Aviv', our feature counting down to the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

On 2 March, Finland decided that Darude will perform Look Away with singer Sebastian Rejman in Tel Aviv. Darude performed the winning track and the other previously released songs Release Me and Superman on stage in the national Finnish selection for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. The winning song was chosen by televoting and an international expert jury.

Darude is one of the most successful Finnish artists of the modern era with a true global appeal and remains one of dance music's most influential stars. At the height of the trance boom of the early 2000's Darude, aka Ville Virtanen, created the milestone single 'Sandstorm'. The track went on to become one of the biggest selling dance singles in the history of electronic dance music with more than 10 million global sales and has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams worldwide across streaming platforms like Spotify and YouTube.

Sebastian Rejman

The multitalented Rejman, who wrote the original song, is both a musician and actor. He is known from the band The Giant Leap and for his role in one of Finland's most popular drama series, Syke. His voice will be familiar to Darude fans all over the world, with Rejman singing the vocals on Darude's releases Moments and One Lifetime. The charismatic Rejman will bring a fresh vitality and admirable live element to Darude's musical backdrop.
