Ticket to Tel Aviv: Meet Leonora from Denmark

Leonora will represent Denmark at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Love Is Forever’. She will perform 7th in the second Semi-Final on Thursday 16 May in Tel Aviv, Israel. This is 'Ticket to Tel Aviv', our feature counting down to the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

Leonora won her ticket to Tel Aviv when she claimed victory at Melodi Grand Prix 2019, Denmark’s national selection final to choose the country’s Eurovision Song Contest entry back on Saturday 23 February. In a final featuring 10 songs, she progressed to the 3-act ‘super-final’ before being declared Denmark’s Eurovision entry with 42% of the national televote.

Who is Leonora?

20-year-old Leonora is a young woman with many talents. As a figure skater, she has won the Danish championship 3 times and participated in the Junior World Championship and Nordic Championship in figure skating.

Music has always been a big part of Leonora's life, but at the age of 15 she became more serious about music and started training her voice, playing the guitar and writing songs.

Leonora’s Song 

Leonora will sing Love Is Forever for Denmark. She will perform the song in 4 languages: English, French, Danish and German.

Denmark at Eurovision 2018 

Last year in Lisbon, Rasmussen finished ninth in the Grand Final with Higher Ground with 226 points after finishing 5th in the second Semi-Final in Lisbon, Portugal.
