The search for the Slovenian song has begun!

Ana Soklič will represent Slovenia in 2021 RTVSLO
Earlier it was announced that Ana Soklič would represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Now, Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO is looking for Ana's Eurovision song!

In February 2020, Ana Soklič won EMA 2020, the Slovenian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. She was going to represent the central European nation with the song Voda at the Contest in 2020. After the cancellation of this years edition of the show, Slovenian broadcaster Radio Televizija Slovenija announced that Ana would represent the country again in 2021.



The broadcaster has published an open call for songs which can be submitted through their official website. All interested composers, lyricists and producers have to submit a demo track of the song, the lyrics of the song, a short biography about their professional music career and a copy of the signed agreement in order to participate.

Ana competed twice at EMA, the Slovenian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, and 3 times at the Slovenian Song Festival, where, in 2019, she won 2 jury awards for best interpretation and best song overall. She often performs her songs with symphony orchestras at festivals and on television. Recently, she performed her song Voda as well as a cover of Suus (Albania 2012) in the fourth episode of Eurovision Home Concerts.

Slovenia has been participating at the Eurovision Song Contest since 1993. Their best result has been seventh in both 1995 and 2001. Slovenia has qualified for the final in the two most recent editions of the contest.
