The Dutch entry for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest has become one of the most anticipated this season, with all eyes on singer Anouk, who was previously chosen internally to represent the Netherlands, in Malmö, in May.
Now it has been confirmed to Eurovision.tv that Anouk will be performing the song Birds in Sweden and that the song will be presented on the 11th of March. Further details about how this will occur will be released shortly so make sure you stay tuned!
Anouk Teeuwe, 37, has released eight studio albums being a regular of the Dutch music scene since her biggest hit Nobody's Wife hit the charts in several European countries back in 1997.

Can the Netherlands make it to the final after nine years?
In previous years the Netherlands has suffered a lot of heartache, failing to qualify to the final since 2004, despite its best efforts. Now, by sending Anouk, one the most popular and experienced artists in the Netherlands, maybe this hopeful nation will once again be able to regain a place in the Grand Final on the 18th of May.

The Netherlands will take part in the first Semi-Final of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malmö, Sweden on the 14th of May.
