The Common Linnets secret concert in Vienna
26 May 2014 at 16:34 CESTThe Common Linnets, or Ilse DeLange and Waylon, finished second in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest only behind the winner Conchita Wurst, but have no hard feelings towards Austria as today they are visiting its capital city, Vienna, for a free secret concert.
The exclusive showcase by the Dutch duo will take place tonight, Monday 26th of May from 19:00 CET, at the Replugged Vienna venue and you can be there but be quick, as only 150 lucky ones will be able to experience the underground event and first arrivals will get free access!
Their entry Calm After The Storm has proven to be the biggest hit to come out of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest so far having topped the Dutch and Belgian charts and becoming a Top 3 in Austria, Germany. Denmark and Switzerland, a Top 5 hit in Spain, Hungary and Ireland and even landed inside the UK Singles Top 10 peaking at #9.
And their self-titled album, The Common Linnets, which has already been platinum-certified and a chart-topper in The Netherlands is also on the way to have success in the whole of Europe. With their mixture of romantic pop and country, they create a nostalgic mix without renouncing to modern sounds. The album has already entered the official charts in the UK, Germany, Spain, Belgium or Ireland.
