Teräsbetoni scores first ever chart-topper
04 April 2008 at 15:23 CESTThe heavy metal group shot straight to number one in the official Finnish album chart last week. The previous two albums of the groups both entered the second spot in the charts, this time they went for gold... and got it!
Finland has a long tradition in the field of rock and metal music. In 2006, Finland decided to take a risk and send the monster rock band Lordi to the Eurovision Song Contest. The masked rockers not only scored a massive hit, but also won the Contest with overwhelming support from across Europe. Nevertheless, Teräsbetoni is pleasantly surprised and "grateful" for the wide support from the Finnish audience, after winning the national selection for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, two months ago.
Teräsbetoni will perform their song Missä Miehet Ratsastaa in the first Semi-Final of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, on the 20th of May.
