Fancy dresses? Check! Classy suits? For sure! As you are reading this story, the 41 contestants are preparing themselves for a glamorous appearance at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest Orange Carpet in downtown Tel Aviv. Through the live stream, which kicks off at 18:00 CEST, you'll get a front-row seat to the opening ceremony spectacle.

It has long been tradition for the Host City to throw a big opening reception to welcome artists, delegates, press and fans to the Eurovision Song Contest ahead of the show week. Since 2009, the Host City rolls out the red carpet for artists and delegates, inviting them to make a grand entrée in front of world media, fans and citizens.

In 2010, the red carpet was pink and in 2018 it was blue, fitting the theme of the contest that year. This year, the carpet is orange, a subtle tribute to this year's Presenting Partner, MyHeritage.

The Orange Carpet and welcome ceremony are set to take place at the Habima Square in Tel Aviv and the show will be produced and aired live by Host Broadcaster KAN, Israel's public broadcasting corporation.

At the end of the Orange Carpet, guests will be officially welcomed by the Mayor of Tel Aviv, Ron Huldai, Host Broadcaster KAN Director General Eldad Koblenz and Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of the EBU.

You can follow the Orange Carpet welcome through our live stream, kicking off at 18:00 CEST sharp. During the show, we will also share highlights with you through a continuously updating photo gallery on Eurovision.tv, as well as on the official social channels.

To Eurovision Song Contest fans and ambassadors all over the world: WELCOME TO TEL AVIV!
