The partnership was confirmed by Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU/EUROVISION) on the 27th of November.
"With TDC on board, we strengthen the Eurovision Song Contest brand. We share our ambition to connect and bring people together. Thus, we are incredibly pleased with this partnership," says Sand. TDC is market leader and the number one supplier of communication and entertainment solutions in Denmark. TDC A/S has more than 9 million customer relations in Denmark and the Nordic region. The music service TDC Play, introduced in 2008, was a groundbreaking innovation setting new standards for how to listen to music and today provides more than 20 million free songs to all TDC customers. TDC Play has expanded to include thousands of movies and TV shows, once again raising the bar for the industry.
"The Eurovision Song Contest represents both a festive and important occasion to bring people and cultures closer together. TDC is devoted to create thrilling opportunities for people to join and engage around the event," says Anders Jensen, Group Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Executive Vice President, Consumer Division, TDC Group.
As the Presenting Partner for 2014, TDC has been granted extensive pan-European media, association, event and new media rights for the upcoming events in Denmark.
The 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, hosted by the EBU Member and Danish public broadcaster DR will take place in Copenhagen on the 10th of May, following Semi-Finals on the 6th and 8th of May.
