Switzerland: Televised show to select Italian finalists

Last week, the public broadcasters SF and RTS already published all the songs entered in the competition to become the Swiss entry for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. Now, the Italian language broadcaster RTSI has followed suit.

A total of 22 songs have been received by RTSI, all of which have been published on the corporate website. Out of these, the following five have already been chosen by a jury to go forward to the televised preselection heat:

• Gianluca Solci - Giro Intorno
• Rossella - Here I Am
• Scilla - Masquerade
• Sinplus - Unbreakable
• Vittoria Hyde - It's Your Love

Scilla had already been nominated by RTSI to take part in last year's Swiss national final, where she presented the song Barbie Doll.

Two more participants will be chosen by the public through internet voting. The preselection heat will be aired on November 8th both on the TV channel La 2 and via radio on Rete Tre. Out of the seven entries, two will qualify for the Swiss national final, to take place on December 10th in Kreuzlingen.
