Swiss broadcaster SRF has opened up the song-submission window for its participation in the 69th Eurovision Song Contest.

The search is on for the successor to a Swiss winner! Switzerland was victorious at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, after the artist Nemo won with their song The Code. Now, the Contest is off to Switzerland next year. And the host nation is on the hunt for the song that will represent it on home soil.

The song, which will be revealed in early 2025 after a thorough internal selection process, will be an automatic addition to the Grand Final, alongside the Big Five countries.

The period for submitting songs opened on Thursday 8 August at 9:00 CET and will run until 22:00 on Sunday 22 August.

The host broadcaster has announced that as in previous years, the Swiss entry will be found via a multi-stage selection process with involvement from both audience juries and an expert jury.

In addition to a Swiss audience jury, an international audience jury will also take part in several selection rounds to determine which artist will represent Switzerland and with which song. These audience juries will be complemented by a 25-member international expert jury, whose members have already been involved in jury duty at some point for their respective countries at the Eurovision Song Contest.

A link to the song-upload platform, as well as all of the rules and regulations, are available over on the broadcaster's official website.
