Switzerland kicks off national selection for 2015

21 May 2014 at 12:46 CEST

The 2014 Eurovision Song Contest has been a huge success in Switzerland, both in terms of viewing figures and of the rank on the scoreboard - Sebalter came 13th in the Grand Final with Hunter Of Stars, the best result since 2005, when the Alpine country was represented by Vanilla Ninja. Now the Swiss public broadcaster SRF has started the search for an entry for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in neighbouring Austria.

Again, a web platform will be opened in early autumn, where singers and songwriters can upload video clips of their potential Eurovision entries. The detailed rules and schedule of the national selection will be announced in the following weeks. It is worth noting that, according to the Eurovision Song Contest rules, songs cannot be published before September 1st, 2014.
