Swedish public broadcaster SVT presents the 28 acts that will partake in their annual music competition Melodifestivalen. The winner of Melodifestivalen will win Sweden's ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam and follow in John Lundvik's (2019) footsteps. 4 of the 28 acts are previous Eurovision participants: Victor Crone (Estonia 2019), Robin Bengtsson (Sweden 2017), Anna Bergendahl (Sweden 2010) and Nanne Grönvall (Sweden 1996).
During 4 semi-finals in February, the 28 (selected from a total of 2.545 entries) will try to qualify for the big Melodifestivalen 2020 final in Stockholm on Saturday 7 March.
From each semi-final, the audience will also pick 2 artists that get a second chance by performing in Andra Chansen (Second Round) in Eskilstuna on 29 February.
