Melodifestivalen veteran and successful singer, Peter Jöback has been handed a wildcard to next year's Swedish final, Melodifestivalen. The choice was revealed earlier this evening by Swedish broadcaster, SVT.

Jöback last appeared in Melodifestivalen in 1990 with the song En Sensation and has since become one of Sweden's most celebrated artists.

Peter will perform the song Hollow, written by Fredrik Kempe and Anders Hansson. In an interview on the show Kulturnyheterna, Peter described his song as, "a big ballad. I would call it a modern day All By Myself". He also said that he hopes his song will do better than his 1990 entry, which only managed to achieve a 9th place out of 10 songs.

Fredrik Kempe and Anders Hansson are well known with Fredrik Kempe composing Sweden's entries in 2008 (Hero) and 2009 (La Voix).

Peter Jöback will join the other 31 songs, hoping for a place in the final of Melodifestivalen 2010 to be held at Globen in Stockholm on Saturday the 13th of March. In order to get to the final, four semi-finals and a "Second Chance" round will be held in Örnsköldsvik, Sandviken, Gothenburg, Malmö and Örebro.
