It’s a Eurovision tradition that the Host City throws a red carpet event for our participants, and though we face the challenge of COVID-19, this year is no exception.

The red carpet has transformed into the Turquoise Carpet thanks to our Official Presenting Partner Morrocanoil, the hair and body-care experts who are no strangers to glamorous events.

As Rotterdam is a beautiful port city, the participants will arrive by boat, greeted by a nautical salute and the Mayor of Rotterdam, marking the official start of Eurovision week!

Our competitors will glide down the glamorous carpet, where they’ll show off their outfits and talk to the assembled press before being interviewed by our Turquoise Carpet hosts: Koos van Plateringen and Fenna Ramos

Fenna is known to Dutch audiences as the face of kids broadcaster NPO Zappelin, where she can be seen daily in Zin In Zappelin, Zappelin Go and De Wereld van Zappelin.
