In the first rehearsal of day 3 at Expo Tel Aviv, Srbuk took her Eurovision Song Contest entry to the stage, 'Walking Out' in front of the arena with plenty of confidence. The first rehearsal showcases her pop-rock solo performance, standing on stage solo as she attempts to return Armenia to the Grand Final after missing out last year.

Srbuk will take to the stage 1st in the second Semi-Final on Thursday 16 May at Expo Tel Aviv in Israel.

Already one of Armenia's biggest music stars at a tender age of just 24, Srbuk has reached the final of X Factor in Armenia and Voice of Ukraine and now she is ready to make a big impression internationally. Srbuk been touring festival and television shows and now that experience will help her at the world's biggest music competition of all.

What happens on stage?

Srbuk opens the show with a camera shot of her from behind, looking out into the audience, her fingers tapping in time to the opening piano notes of the song. As the beat drops, the first screen effects kick in. Srbuk tell the story of the song which is about walking out of an abusive relationship.

She is dressed in a black long length micro-dress with waist belt and full length black boots. There are no backing dancers, which is a step away from the official music video for Walking Out, where Srbuk had teams of male dancers and female dancers for various shots.

Staying true to the colour palette of the video however, the stage is black with sharp red lines and white spotlights in the background. The visual images come from below, with the stage floor providing the backdrop as Srbuk gains in confidence and power throughout the performance, delivering her incredible vocal strength.

There is plenty of additional power in the performance gained from the video screen behind the stage and CGI and a good dose of pyrotechnics thrown into the mix too.
