Update: 'EMA 2022' and 'EMA FREŠ' take shape in Slovenia 🇸🇮

These 16 artists will be joined by a further 4 acts making their way through EMA FREŠ (an adjacent contest exclusively for 'fresh’ acts under the age of 30) which will take the total number of EMA 2022 participants to 20.

A total of 14 acts will compete in the televised EMA FREŠ qualifier…

These 14 fantastic acts will now battle it out in a televised show in January for the chance to compete alongside the 16 established acts (listed below) in Slovenia’s EMA 2022 national final.

Broadcaster RTV received 127 applications across both EMA 2002 and EMA FREŠ.

EMA 2022 will consist of two semi-final shows in 2022 (each featuring 8 established acts and 2 two 'fresh’ acts) where viewers and juries will decide on the 6 they want to send through to the EMA 2022 grand final (which will feature a total of 12 acts).
