Rebeka Dremelj also performed, she represented Slovenia in Europe's Favourite TV Show in Belgrade in 2008 where she finished in 11th place in the First Semi Final and therefore narrowly missed out on a place in the Final. Two more Slovenian artists with past EMA experience also showcased some of their music, they were Natalija Verboten and Eva Cerne.

Last year, Quartissimo featuring Martina finished in 16th place in the Second Semi Final in Moscow, and therefore did not qualify for the Final.
