This year, the Slovak public broadcaster STV will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest again, after ten years of absence. In order to find a singer and song to represent the country in Moscow, STV decided to organise a public national final. As many high-quality songs have been received, five semi-finals have been organised. In every semi-final, two finalists were picked by SMS voting, and a third one by an expert jury. These are the participants of tonight's third semi-final, in order of appearance (qualifiers in bold):
Peter Cmorík Band - Keď Spíš (3rd place in televoting)
PapaJam - Nemusíš Sa Báť (11th place in televoting)
Michal Chrenko - Proti Prúdu (7th place in televoting) - jury choice
TH13th (Štvrtok Trinásteho) - Všetko Je Inak (8th place in televoting)
Kamil Mikulčík & Nela Pocisková - Leť Tmou (1st place in televoting)
Metalinda - Chcem Pre Teba Žiť (4th place in televoting)
Alena Kortis - Zbláznený Za Láskou (10th place in televoting)
Dolores - Kto Nám Slabým Odpustí (5th place in televoting)
Smola A Hrušky - Na Čom Záleží (6th place in televoting)
Natália Hatalová - Spím (9th place in televoting)
Desmod & Lucia Nováková - Posledná Minúta (2nd place in televoting)
Normally, each semi-final shoud feature ten contestants, but tonight, there was an eleventh one: Desmod & Lucia Nováková were originally supposed to perform in the first semi-final, but the singer Desmod had to be hospitalized after an accident during the rehearsals, so they got another opportunity tonight - and they made use of it! They reached the second place in the televoting and, thus, made it to the final along with Kamil Mikulčík & Nela Pocisková (pictured), who came first. The jury picked Michal Chrenko as an additional finalist.
Now that all five semi-finals have taken place, the full line-up of the Slovak national final is decided (in order of appearance):
