Sjonni's Friends (Iceland) 2nd press conference

“We didn’t make that many alterations to Coming Home,” says Delegation Head Jonatan Gardarsson. “We changed the colours in the background a bit and also a few camera shots. But things went quite well this early morning.”

Shortly before the Semi-Finals, the band’s in a smashing mood. As bass player Hreimur Helmisson puts it: “I didn’t think that we could laugh this much in these few days.” This is all the better as the band are still mindful of the recent demise of their composer Sjonni Brink.

“We’re all here to support him”, says PR-Manager Felix Bergsson. To commemorate Sjonni, all band members are wearing a badge reading ‘Love is you’. It’s a line from the song and it is meant to remind everyone of how short life can be and that it should be embraced.

The band tops off the second press conference by playing a medley of their Eurovision favourites. ‘What’s Another Year’, “Lass’ Die Sonne In Dein Herz’, ‘Fly On The Wings’ and ‘Save All Your Kisses For Me’ were among their evergreens.
