Sie Gubba and The Lucky Bullets through to final in Norway

05 February 2011 at 23:18 CET

After the three semi finals in Ørland, Florø and Skien, the second chance round or siste sjanse was held in the southern Norwegian town of Sarpsborg.

Here Sie Gubba with Alt du vil ha and The Lucky Bullets  with Fire Below have won the right to perform in the Norwegian final after being given a second chance in their respective semi-finals.

They will now join the line up at the final of Melodi Grand Prix in Oslo on the 12th of February.

Rounds

The semi final was split into four voting rounds with two songs in each. From here, one song was voted into a second round comprising of two voting rounds with two songs in each. From here the two songs that won qualified to the final.

Stolen Stage!

If you thought that Melodi Grand Prix could not get any more exciting, then you are sorely mistaken. Between last week's semi final in Skien and tonight's second chance round in Sarpsborg, the trailer containing part of the Melodi Grand Prix stage was stolen from where it was being kept and driven all the way down to Skåne in Southern Sweden, where the culprit was arrested and the stage safely returned to NRK in Norway... Luckily in time for tonight's show!

Final Line Up

The line for for next Saturday's final at Oslo Spektrum is now as follows (in random order):

  • Helene Bøksle - Vardlokk
  • Åste & Rikke  - Not That Easy (Ah-Åh-Ah-Åh)

  • Hanne Sørvaag - You're Like a Melody
