Enter the Shine A Light Party Pics Competition!
Eurovision 2020 has been one to remember for many reasons, but what has stood out the most is the dedication, loyalty and resilience of the Eurovision fans around the world. To celebrate this and the broadcast of Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light, we are launching the Shine A Light Party Pics Competition and we have some of your favourite Eurovision acts to judge it!
How can you take part?
Decorate the space where you are watching Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light in a colourful, crazy and creative way, and then take a picture with those you are watching with. The pictures can, of course, be of online parties held with friends or family near and far, and we encourage all participants to follow local guidelines on social distancing while doing so.
To enter to win, select the best photo of your party and tweet it with the hashtag #ShineALight and tag @eurovision on Twitter. To be eligible, you must do both.
The competition opens on Saturday 16 May at 12:00 CEST and closes on Sunday 17 May at 12:00 CEST.
Who will decide?
Your 5 Eurovision judges of the Shine A Light Party Pics Competition will be:
- Sergey Lazarev (Russia, 2016 & 2019)
- Jedward (Ireland, 2011)
- Keiino (Norway, 2019)
- Suzy (Portugal, 2014)
- SuRie (United Kingdom, 2018)
What can you win?
We have some amazing prizes to give away and there will be a total of 5 winners! Each winner has the opportunity to receive an official merchandise package that includes:
- The Official Medal ESC 2020 Silver 1 Ounce
In one of the most extraordinary and clever designs so far the Royal Dutch Mint celebrates the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. All winning songs so far are captured inside the design of this special medal. The ESC 2020 logo has been handcrafted by the silversmiths of the Royal Dutch Mint and painted in colour. The coin comes in a padded window case including a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
- An ESC 2020 Zip Hoodie
This high end hooded sweater comes with a full zipped front and a nice embroidered Eurovision Song Contest Logo on the front and back. The unisex design fits both men and women and is super soft and comfortable to wear.
- The Official ESC 2020 Tribute Album
The Official Eurovision Song Contest 2020 double CD is a tribute to all the artists and songs of 2020 and features the songs from all 41 participating countries.
- An 'Open Up' Lanyard
Can’t find your keys? Problem solved. Keep them attached to the Eurovision 2020 lanyard and never worry about losing them again!
All prizes will be sent out no later than 30 June 2020.
How will the winners be chosen?
- The EBU Digital Team will shortlist 100 entries based on 3 criteria: colour, creativity and craziness.
- These 100 entries will then be randomly split into 5 groups of 20 photos, and each group of photos will be sent to one much-loved Eurovision artist who will choose their favourite.
- Those who have tweeted the final 5 selected photos will each receive a prize pack!
The winners will be informed via direct messaging on Twitter by Friday 22 May 2020 and a full list will be published on the official website.
