The songwriter and male counterparts of ABBA, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus have previously already confirmed Jason Donovan and Helen Sjöholm to take part in it. Besides them the whole cast of the London version of the hit musical Mamma Mia! will be there.
Now also Lulu, the Scottish singer-songwriter, television personality, actress and a model, has been said to take part as well. She'll sing Gimme Gimme Gimme at the concert. She was also the joint winner of the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest with her Boom Bang-a-Bang, representing the United Kingdom. The other three were representing France, the Netherlands and Spain.
Both, Benny and Björn will take the stage, as well as the Grammy-winning Chaka Khan, who'll sing The Winner Takes It All. Lulu said to Radio 2: "Benny and Björn's songwriting skills are up there with some of the greatest hit songwriters of the century. In fact they're just like a really good wine, as time goes on they get better with age."
The concert, called Thank You For The Music... A Celebration Of The Music Of ABBA, will be held in Hyde Park, London, the United Kingdom on the thirteenth of September, this fall.
ABBA won Europe's favourite TV-show back in 1974 with their song Waterloo. They became a worldwide pop-sensation shortly afterwards and have sold more than 400 million records to date. A musical and film based on their music has been hugely popular the past years. The movie became the highest-grossing film of all times in the United Kingdom last year.
